Precisely what the doctor ordered
Belden’s Miniature Universal Joints, with an outer diameter of only 0.315" [8 mm], are perfect for small machines like medical equipment where space is restricted. Originally developed in stainless steel for a manual operating device, Belden’s miniature joints are now available in alloy heat-treated steel. While standard joints feature an operational angle of deflection of up to 35°, you can request modified versions with a higher angle of deflection, or even double joints.
Currently under development is a new range of miniature joints with an outside diameter of only 6 mm. In addition to the 0.315" [8 mm] and the existing 0.375" and 0.394" [9.4 and 10 mm] designs, the new joints will further increase Belden’s capability to provide miniature solutions. Like Belden’s larger universal joints, the 0.315" [8 mm] miniature designs are available with unfinished solid hub ends or standard 0.157" [4 mm] bores. Special threaded versions and other end configurations are available on request.
